SOCCER, the field to show off your skills!

Yesterday was Tanner's last soccer game. He is sad that is over but his dad is happy to be done with the frustration of watching his son who doesn't quite grasp the whole concept of the game. Tanner is their for the social aspects as well as the half time treats. He has a hard time getting back out on the field after half time because not all the apples or oranges are gone. He must do his duty to the team and finish every last morsel. This little video pretty much puts his "skills" out there for everyone to see.

I love to watch him play soccer, it is a great ab workout for me because I am laughing the whole time at the boy. He just smiles and does his own thing out there and absolutely LOVES it. What a kid.

Tanner's team went undefeated this season. They had an awesome team and great coaches. Now it is on to baseball where his dad is coaching him, and I am coaching Luke's team. The fun things that come with spring!

New Additions

These are the newest additions to our family. Sassy, had three kittens on March 24th. Kory was so excited to share his birthday with Sassy's little baby's!! Their are two boy's and 1 girl. Their names are

Studderbud, Cody and we are still trying to agree on a name for the girl. We are open for suggestions unless it is from the Wilson family because we aren't having a cat named Verna or Jaques. Kory has said the cats are going to Grantsville because that is where we originally received Sassy from so he thinks turnabout is fair play.

The kitty's are super cute and getting to have a little bit of personality now that they are getting bigger. We just have to keep a close eye on RJ and now Khloee because the kitty's like to follow her around. (Which she loves)

If anyone would like to have one, they are super cute and will bring any family much happiness I am sure! It will still be a few weeks before they are ready to leave their mommy but you can put in your requests now! Who can say no to these cute little faces.

It turns out different in my mind

This cute little pic of the fam is taken on the rocks of the Red Hill. Kory and I had this great idea to take the kids to do something outdoors and fun but also to teach

them

about the true meaning of Easter. So we packed some muffins and juice one morning before Easter and we went for a little hike. After letting the kids run and climb and explore. We took them inside this little cavern in the rock and talked to them about how Jesus was crucified and buried in a tomb kind of like this little cavern and then we talked to them about how he was resurrected and all the little details in between. (you know the story).

In my head I thought it would be this great teaching moment and a chance for them to feel the Spirit as well as perhaps grasp the meaning of Easter a little better. It just never turns out the way I plan it in my head. The kids were way too excited about all the adventures that lay outside our little "cave". Luke just kept going on and on about random things that he was thinking about. He at least did keep his comments Gospel related but they still didn't seem to have anything to do with the topic we were discussing. Tanner was just excited to have blueberry muffins while hiking. And RJ, well we didn't expect a whole lot different out of him. He is who he is and his little body doesn't hold still for longer than 2 minute increments

To put it plainly, I don't think our devotional had the effect I was hoping for but they loved the hiking part and it was a beautiful day to be together as a family. (And I got a picture out of the adventure I guess.) Someday, it might turn out like I envision it. (I hope)

My first science fair (as a mom)

This is Tanner and my first attempt at the Science Fair together! It has been fun to see him get excited about his experiment. He decided to see which drink is harder on your teeth. coffee, punch, sprite, or apple juice. So we got four great looking teeth from the dentist and then all he had to do was put them in the different drinks and watch them change. After 2 weeks we took them to the dentist and he checked them out to see if any of them had decay in them. I can tell you that the coffee and the juice teeth looked pretty gross. The dentist found only one that had any kind of break down. Can you guess which one it was? What is your Hypothesis?
The Tooth in the sprite looked the best (pretty and white) but it was the one that had decay in it. I don't think that is going to stop Tanner from drinking Sprite though. Now you have our results before anyone else does. LUCKY YOU!
Good Luck Tanner on your first Science Fair project. Hopefully it is a great start to a love for science. (Fingers crossed)
