Besides feeling outnumbered 8 hands to 2, I think we are handling the father figure being gone pretty well. Kory has been in Alaska since Thursday and the kids and I have been dealing alright with one another. There has been a few moments of complete hearing loss on their part but other than that I can't think of anything awful that has happened. We have been having a pretty good time together. Thursday was busy with T-ball games and futsal games, Friday we tried out the new water park that is in Hidden Valley. The kids had fun on the new playground and getting a tiny bit wet. Then we raced back home to get Tanner to a baseball game that he did really well at. After baseball we had an outdoor movie night. I moved the TV outside and the boy's watched Ratatouille. We invited a couple of the neighbor girls over and popped popcorn. They loved it and it was a great night to sleep out under the stars. Liz Kapcsos came over to check on the girls and we ended up staying up and talking till way after the kids had gone to sleep. It was fun to just sit outside and talk without the kids interrupting. Saturday I was lucky enough to have Kandice and Stefanie (my sis. and sis.-in-law) take my kids so that Pearl (my mother-in-law), Macail (Tyler's girlfriend) and I could have a little girls afternoon out. We went to Olive Garden for lunch and then went and did a little shopping so I could spend some of my Birthday money. Saturday night we had another outdoor movie night (because we had so much fun with it on Friday).
Today we went to church. Church is tricky when Kory is here so I knew it was going to take a little magic to pull off church by myself. I was playing a complete Zone defense, 1 on 4, and feeling quite athletic with my behind the back passes and long ball steels, until a pass got through my quick hands. The ball (RJ's sock) went sailing to the row in front of us and ricochets off of the head of some nice sister for the game turning three point bucket. From there, it was all down hill. Final score: Lets just say the wright kids won by a sufficient amount for me to be more grateful for my teammate to return to the game.
I can't complain too much, at least there was no fire drill at church today. Whew. I will just echo Luke's words,
"I wish dad would have taken me to Alaska with him because I miss him too much." Amen Luke!

Tiffani,
You could bag it all and come visit your sis up north. I think Cheri is excited to have her hubby back soon.
I can't quite figure out why we go to sacrament meeting without our hubbies and all theses kids. It never ceases to amaze me how terrible they can act over a one hour time period. You and Maren can get together and commiserate. Her hubby is gone for two weeks. I hope you get a deserved vacation when he gets back.
Tiff, I can't believe you weren't invited to Alaska! Your mother-in-law can handle the kids! All joking aside it really is no fun without the men around. Everything goes great and then everything goes wrong and all at once too! Good job on keeping them entertained. You really are mom of the year!
Tiffani, You are my hero! Seriously, I agree with what Maren wrote...."You are Mom of the year." Maybe you dont know this by now but I really look up to you and admire what a patient and loving mom you are. One of my first memories of you was you out rollerblading with your boys. I think you're doing a great job with your kids!! Oh and by the way that was a ton of fun talking with you the other night...or should I say morning...hee hee what was it like 1:00am or something? You should hold Kory to the Jazz game...you deserve it.YOU GO GIRL!
How do you do it all? We didn't have near the fun and creativity in life while Alaska was in play. We were down to basic functioning! (Very Basic!!) You always put me in tears at amazement of what a neat sister I have. Keep up the great work...and come teach me a thing or two about playing with the kids.
For a minute I thought the blog was going to talk about you having cancer because I know you can survive with out Kory...no problem. Like he's around anyway! j/k Kory ;o
I love reading your blog, You make me laugh! Sure I would agree with you that life is fun while the husband is gone but I am sure glad I only have one and not 4. Also you have the coolest sister ever!
THanks for the lesson Sunday! I've been trying to be better about my anger sharks swimming in my head! GOOSFRABA!
